"Syncing with iCloud Paused" in Messages? Here's the no BS solution.

1. Go to System Settings
   

   

2. Click your Apple Account (if you're logged in, otherwise log in)
   

   

3. Click on iCloud
   

   

4. Click on "Messages"
   

   

5. Under Status, click "Sync Now"
   

   

Voila.
